Ruth B. Jackson serves clients throughout Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio from her Covington, Kentucky office. She is intimately familiar with all areas of family law practice including divorce, dissolution, legal separation, alimony / spousal maintenance, child custody, visitation, child support, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, modification of orders, and other family law issues.

Ruth Jackson is currently serving as President of the Northern Kentucky Collaborative Law Group, and often serves as a family law mediator. Whenever a client's issues can be best resolved through  collaborative law or  divorce mediation, Ruth Jackson is a strong advocate of these relatively new and very effective methods of resolving family law disputes.

Collaborative law focuses entirely upon settlement outside of the courtroom. Ruth Jackson is experienced in managing conflict and in the use of cooperative and non-confrontational strategies. She works to minimize and remove the typical impediments to settlement, and to ensure that our adversarial legal system does not hinder the chances of an amicable resolution. In collaborative law, there are no adversarial courtroom proceedings, no traumatic hearings, and no provocative declarations. Both attorneys intentionally do everything they can to prevent problems from escalating. If both parties are committed to trying to resolve their differences, then the collaborative path is the right path for them. In this situation, clients are assured of the best possible resolution to the issues usually in less time and with less financial and emotional cost than what occurs in typical court proceedings.

However, sometimes an agreement cannot be reached. That's when you need an experienced litigation attorney on your side to vigorously uphold your rights. Ruth Jackson never encourages a client to accept an unfair or unreasonable settlement and will settle the issues in court if a fair agreement cannot be reached through negotiation.

Ruth Jackson is here to listen, provide knowledgeable legal advice, and to offer effective help in these deeply distressing personal situations. You will get the personal attention and legal advice you need to achieve the best possible resolution of the issues. Her office will keep you informed on the progress of your legal matter and explain your options so that you are able to make informed decisions. Ruth Jackson handles all matters related to your case and will provide thorough and careful representation.

You may contact Ruth by email or by telephone at (859) 291-8055 and she will answer your inquiries promptly and confidentially.
